With 145 billion litres of wastewater flowing daily across North America, municipal sewage is a consistent, untapped source of thermal energy. This webinar explores how that energy can be recovered for low-carbon heating, cooling, hot water, and steam. It will highlight Noventa’s Wastewater Energy Transfer (WET™) system at the University Health Network’s Toronto Western Hospital (TWH), which, in partnership with the City of Toronto will cut greenhouse gas emissions by 60%. Delivered through an Energy-as-a-Service model, the project drives decarbonization, enhances energy security, delivers cost savings, reduces water use, and improves HVAC system reliability. This proven approach can be applied across the U.S., helping communities and facilities meet climate goals while strengthening local energy resilience.
