Stanford Central Energy Facility (CEF) Controls Migration

Central Energy Facility at Stanford University supplies critical loads to campus. An existing JCI Metasys BAS was migrated to an Allen Bradley PLC with an Aveva System platform SCADA system. PLC control has increased efficiency along with more optimized control. Aside from the improvements in efficiency and optimized control, a PLC control system has structured redundancy allowing for a more reliable system. Efficiency and reliability are key factors in supplying critical loads at Stanford.
