Princeton Resilient Campus - Defining the Future of Energy with a Resilient, Carbon-Neutral Campus

The Princeton Island Grid, featuring substantial solar generation and energy storage, has been developed to transform the US headquarter of Siemens Technology into a Resilient Campus. It reduces the CO2 footprint of the research offices and labs by 60-80% and increases reliability by the possibility to island from the public grid. The microgrid also serves as a living lab used by Siemens Technology to execute research in many areas of decentralized energy and building optimization.
