Implementing a Sustainable Utility System at Mission Rock in San Francisco

Mission Rock will be a sustainable, mixed-use development connecting nearly 3,500,000 square feet to a bay water-based district energy system, and a blackwater recycling system serving non-potable water needs. This San Francisco-based project was made possible through a P3 partnership and a vision for net-zero development. Michael Ahern (Ever-Green) will provide discoveries from Phase 1 of implementation, including technical and organizational hurdles that were overcome as this system is now in operation.
