AI and Software for Optimized Distributed Generation Asset Management

The transition to a Net Zero economy is driving significant change and the result is a significant requirement for scalable and real-time solutions to manage the energy system of tomorrow.   The power sector is generally considered conservative and slow to adopt new technologies. However, the increased complexity of the grid resulting from increasing levels of distributed assets has prompted the need for more sophisticated tools to monitor and manage networks. AI’s application has proven promising so far, but innovation and adoption remain limited. That presents an opportunity to drive measurable improvements in renewable energy forecasting, grid operations, and optimization, coordination of distributed energy assets, and demand response.
