The district energy industry travelled to sweet home Chicago, June 5-8,2023 with over 830 registered attendees from nearly 300 cities in more than 60 states, provinces and countries. Over 300 companies and organizations were represented, and participants included nearly 300 first-time attendees and a record - and ever growing - percentage of women in attendance.
One of the main takeaways from our 114th annual industry conference, was that district energy system expansion is occurring globally, influenced by policy and market forces and in some cases by geopolitical tensions over fuel-source supply chains. These key points, as well as the conference theme, "Empowering the Next Generation," were discussed at length by more than 100 presenters in over 75 podium and poster presentations.
